  • Design and production of science communication tools and experiences

My name is Vasilisa NIKIFOROVA. As an artist and science communicator, I create works at the crossroads of art and science communication: immersive installations that transform complex concepts into experiences blending rationality and emotional response.

Through my studio, Science View Design, I develop science communication tools for museums, cultural institutions, and companies aiming to communicate their work to broader audiences.

Selected installations

StoKaChic: Mathematical Haute Joaillerie

Research conducted at the Laboratoire de Mathématiques d'Orsay on stochastic geometry led to the creation of jewellery pieces (pendants) shaped like cells from an ideal Poisson–Voronoi tessellation in three-dimensional hyperbolic space.
The installation sheds light on complex mathematics through these extraordinary, jewel-like forms.

Decision Threshold

This installation was inspired by the 1983 Soviet nuclear false alarm, when a quick and thoughtful response of an engineer prevented a mistaken nuclear strike and possible nuclear apocalypse. The installation serves as a reminder of the dangers of entrusting devastating power to an « intelligence » incapable of understanding what apocalypse truly means.

The Univers opens its eyes

From the Big Bang to the emergence of thought, it traces the thread of cosmic evolution all the way to us, here and now. I used mirrors to amplify the feeling of belonging — and to help each person glimpse their place in this vast whole.

Metamorphoses of the Yellow Garbage Bin

This installation uncovers what happens to our recyclable waste after it is thrown into the bin.
It features a detailed interactive diagram of a sorting center, photos of sorted materials, samples of recycled secondary materials, and examples of products made from them.
